Quality Process & ProceduresThe JKF Group have obtained the following quality assurance certification, construction line and construction health and safety (CHAS) standards.
The described approach is implemented to the core elements of the project in relation to systems, quality and value. On receipt of a contract, the directors will review and assess the precise nature and conditions of the particular contract. They will appoint an in house contract team and will include a site specific contracts manager, Quantity Surveyor, Health and safety advisor and site foreman. The contracts manager will carry out the management of the contract in line with the JKF ISO 9001:2008 procedures which detail precisely how each contract will be administered. JKF operate a cost control programme which is established at the beginning of a contract and updated on a weekly basis by the contracts manager. Weekly site meetings allow the contract team to discuss any ongoing issues and enable them to address any cost implications and also assess programme of works in accordance with the contract document. The management team use this forum to gauge performance of the contract including labour performance and assess working methods continually to ensure deadline criteria are adhered to. Within the outlined flowchart of the project, procedures are in place to streamline the inclusions of design change and amendments from our client. This model ensures that cost and time measures can be foreseen in line with any amendments creating a system that will compliment any design changes tailoring the client's requirements. This enables us as the contractor to work to the clients request and at the same time ensures that the cost control elements of the project are in line with financial projections. Where any item of work requires the appointment of a sub contractor, this will be assessed in line with our quality system and an appropriate sub contractor will be considered for appointment. Sub contractors are assessed internally on performance after successfully completing our approved questionnaire and being added to our approved list of sub contractors. JKF Group has placed a high priority on achieving both a high degree of quality and on site safety through ensuring the suitable and relevant training of both operatives and management. All operatives are inducted in site safety awareness through the implementation of CSCS Safety Awareness courses and this is then followed up with appropriate courses on relevant machinery. The quality of the work on site is ensured by close observance with the required contract specification aligned with both the skills for the work being matched to the correct operative and close observations by both the contracts manager and ultimately the contracts director. JKF Group have set a high working standard and take pride in maintaining a close working relationship with our clients to achieve a mutually beneficial contract completion. This applies to both the quality of the completed works and the subsequent completion of the final valuation account. |
